The Warm-Up FAQs

  • A free community celebration in Alice Springs to mark one year until the 2024 Alice Springs Masters Games. Join us for the Red Centre Mile, Colour Frenzy fun run and concert featuring Paul Kelly.

  • The Warm-up will take place on 14 October from 2pm to 10pm at Anzac Oval in Alice Springs.

  • You can register for the Red Centre Mile up to 15 minutes before the start of each race. The registration tent is at the Northern end of Anzac Oval.

  • The Red Centre Mile features multiple categories, including Fastest Female, Corporate Group, Fastest Junior Male, School Group etc. You can enter multiple categories. Registration is available in advance online, and on the day until 3.30pm. Competitors will have a timing chip in their bibs, and results will be compiled by around 5.45pm for the winners’ presentation.

  • From 2.30pm to 4.30pm, the Colour Frenzy will bring a splash of colour to the event, as people run or walk 1.25km amid clouds of colourful powder! Wear white and join us for a colourful experience. View more details and register your interest here.

  • James Range Band will kick things off at 6.20pm, followed by Steph Strings at 7pm and headline act Paul Kelly from 8pm. Don’t miss one of Australia’s greatest performers!

  • Colour Frenzy, Red Centre Mile and the concert are all open to all ages, with activities designed to appeal to everyone. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Enthusiasm, comfortable clothing (white is best for Colour Frenzy), running shoes for the Red Centre Mile, and any personal necessities. Food and drink will be available for purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please note that bringing alcohol onto site is prohibited.

  • This event is free to attend.

  • Food will be available to purchase throughout the day of the event.

  • Yes, there will be designated parking near the event location. Please follow the signs or ask one of our friendly staff for directions.

  • There will be no ATMs at this event. Eftpos facilities may be available at selected catering outlets. The Alice Springs CBD is a short walk away, with several ATM’s available.

  • Keep an eye on our social media pages and sign up to our database for all the latest updates.

  • Lost property is located at the information tent at the event entrance.

  • Bringing alcohol onto site is prohibited. If you’d like to drink, alcohol will be available to purchase.

  • Smoke-free areas on site are appropriately signed. There are also designated smoking areas.

  • Safety is our top priority and we’ve taken all the necessary precautions in line with local guidelines. Please follow instructions from our staff when required.
