Be Part of the Game’s Friendliest Team

The Alice Springs Masters Games have always been known as ‘The Friendly Games’ and thanks to volunteers like Joel Crawford, the Games continue to be that way.

“I started volunteering at 16 years of age from the 1996 Alice Springs Masters Games and I keep coming back! The 2014 Games will be my 9th Games and it’s a real honour to be involved,” says local Alice Springs resident Joel Crawford.

Volunteers are involved in many aspects of delivering 33 sports to a near 4,000 participants in 7 days.  The variation in roles is one of the attractions enjoyed by Volunteers as Joel Crawford.  “Over the years I have been involved in many different sports and roles from Administration, Hospitality, Sports and Sports medicine.  With the Masters Games offering such a unique atmosphere,  it is an easy decision to register as a Volunteer as I really enjoying getting involved and helping out the sports.”
The Games would not be possible without the fantastic work from up to 700 volunteers dedicating their time and positive energy to ensure the smooth running of the games. Expressions of Interest are invited from persons interested in representing Alice Springs as a Volunteer for the 2014 Alice Springs Masters Games.
