Accreditation for the Alice Springs Masters Games is a process of official recognition to acknowledge a person’s role at the event. All registered participants will receive their accreditation lanyard, which they must wear whilst on duty or attending competition and events. The accreditation system will provide a means of identifying individual’s categories of participation including sports, individual events, age and gender.
All participants of the Alice Springs Masters Games must complete the accreditation process, to ensure that they are appropriately recognised and have access to relevant venues and other services.
Sports Medicine Clinic
As at previous Games, a Sports Medicine Clinic will be established for all athletes. The clinic is available to treat sports related injuries only and is manned by experienced specialist sports medicine physicians and sports physiotherapists.
Certified Sports Trainers (sports first aid) will be placed at most venues and will manage minor injuries, referring patients directly to the Sports Medicine Clinic if further assessment is required. The Clinic will facilitate arrangement for further treatment and investigations such as x-rays or pathology tests as necessary.
The Clinic is located downstairs at the Traeger Park grandstand. Bookings are preferred (where possible) and all competitors will be required to present their Medicare cards upon treatment as services will be bulk-billed. The Clinic will remain open whilst sports are being played and can be contacted on 1800 4 UR DOC (1800 487 362).
